![]() It's hard coming up with newspost titles. :C I just posted a massive dump of Chains sketches in Art Grind. You should look if you haven't had your Chains fix yet. The above Chains picture is him looking a lot more composed than he should during the "transitional" phase of his life, AKA when he started smoking. For the record, smoking is utterly disgusting, but it makes you LOOK cool as hell. Page 9 isn't ready yet, and I've got matters to attend to! If I promise a page by Wednesday or two pages Friday, will you hate me less? C'mon... Chains sketches! THUNKFriday, June 26th, 2009 2:03am
Just like I said, it's the first Friday update of LF's new two-day-a-week schedule! Wha-bam!
I had a ton of fun drawing this page, so good things are happening now. :D Well, not so much for Chains, but at least we're amused, right? About this page: I'm not sure if I should leave in the "THUNK" sound effect. I'm on the fence about the panel without it. Does it alter its impact? Could it be a better sound (less impactful than the original "SLAM")? Also, you will quickly find that anger and exasperation are my absolute favorite expressions to draw. (See also: WCP vote incentive) At times I wonder, since LF is going to include drama and BL, if I should be drawing in a more realistic style... then I do pages like this, love it, and forget about that idea. lol. Some scenes will obviously be more realistic than others, though. I have to remember not to get too realistic but also not to get too terribly abstract (generally - sometimes there's a good enough reason to). New TWC incentive (changed kinda fast, I know) is a quick design page I did of the guy choking Chains. Doing designs of even extremely minimal characters first instead of on-the-spot makes things so much easier. (So is cameoing characters for the same purpose - see last spread :D) On another note, the Hibiku pinup was finally posted on Women of Webcomics! Yaaay. Rate if you like. The info about her there is about as vague as it is here on the cast page. 1 2 3 4 5 ... 26 27 28DD Mirror • SJ Mirror • Ring Bureau • Fight Spam! • More... | ![]() |
